OUR MISSION

About

Civic Village Canada is a pioneering initiative dedicated to empowering and engaging youth from low-income and marginalized backgrounds in Canada. Our primary focus is on fostering sustainable development, amplifying youth voices, and equipping them with the necessary skills for leadership roles aligned with Canada's commitment to achieving Canada's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through various career development, professional certificate courses, and on-site training in green construction, LEED, sustainable food production methods, waste management, and clean energy management.

 

We also offer community programs that offer summer and fall sports programs, STEM preparedness classes, and Tech Boot Camp for low-income, racialized, and marginalized youths to increase their level of employment and also offer the opportunity to participate in providing services essential services to the homeless population in Ontario.

Civic Village Canada places paramount emphasis on actively involving youth from various backgrounds, offering them a dedicated platform to express their ideas, concerns, and aspirations related to sustainable development. Our commitment to fostering inclusivity and diversity is evident through a range of initiatives, including workshops, forums, and community-driven projects. By creating these opportunities, we strive to cultivate an environment where the unique perspectives of young individuals are not only acknowledged but also cherished, ultimately contributing to a more comprehensive and effective approach to sustainable development in Canada.

Our organization is dedicated to empowering youth by providing comprehensive skills training programs meticulously designed to equip them with the essential tools and expertise crucial for active engagement in sustainable development. Our diverse programs span a wide range of topics, including but not limited to renewable energy, green building environmental conservation, social entrepreneurship, community development, policy advocacy, and hands-on internship opportunities in sustainable development projects within developing countries.

 

Through these initiatives, we aim to not only impart knowledge but also foster a practical understanding of the multifaceted challenges and opportunities within the realm of sustainable development, ensuring that the next generation is well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to building a more resilient and sustainable future.
